Ramsey Street-1935. With my Aunt Grace

Note the Uphams Corner Market truck. Building on the right was the 5&10. Tall building
with the clock was Liggetts Drug Store. The Waldorph Cafeteria was at the top of the
hill on the left.

I guess I was 15-16. Corner of Humphrey and Dudley. Bridge was the line....the other side was Roxbury. The building behind me was the T.G. Buckley building. They were movers.


My Confirmation. St. Kevins Church, Columbia Rd. Cardinal Cushing was a good friend of the family, as was Mayor Curley. Mama made sure she didn't have them both over on the same day!!!

Easter Sunday (I'm about 17). Clifton Street.
That was a Helluva week. We all wore Navy P-jackets...all nine of us. They arrested us all at Dudley Station and tossed us in the slammer at the 9th street station....the night BRINKS was robbed by.....you guessed it....NINE GUYS WEARING NAVY P-JACKETS!!
